Design & Development

After an initial analysis of site needs and discussion of strategy and vision, your JBK team will propose the design scheme, timeline, and cost estimate of your new web site.

Each of our designers is an expert in his or her specialty. They thrive on thinking outside the box, bringing innovative concepts to the table, as well as keeping up with the latest trends in the design industry. The design philosophy and expectations of the site are adhered to throughout development, thus maintaining the initial visual concept while integrating the required functionality. We want the Web site to accurately represent your business and for the end user to feel the same connection as you do to your product.

The entire website design and development process is an exchange, especially at this stage. We will request your feedback on our designs and proposals and any content (text, photos, videos) you want on the site. From there our graphic design team will map out the design and branding scheme for the entire website, including all pages, applications, images, and layouts.

Once you approve these, our developers will take these design blueprints and convert them into code. This code will then be put into your SquareSpace hosted site. Having your website hosted by the SquareSpace platform means once the design, development and go-live is complete, the entired website can be easily edited and manipulated by you. So that you can add, delete, and edit content without needing an IT expert.

Integration, Go Live, & Hosting

Many of our website design and development clients choose to integrate their site with current IT databases or software or with outside data services such as Multiple Listing Services or Bing Maps. These features can be incorporated during the design phase and developed into the infrastructure of the site. We aim to integrate as much of your technology as possible, our job is not to make your system more complicated.

When the desired integration has been achieved, the design is approved by you, and the in-site code is fully developed, our team will test your site to ensure that all of the implemented features (code, forms, integration, etc) function properly. We’ll even make sure those who plan to manage the site know exactly how to work the SquareSpace platform by walking them through the capabilities and functionalities of your site. As the developers of the site, we provide ongoing support but aim to make ourselves obsolete and the site fully under your control.
