SmartBidNet is proud to announce the release of the anticipated Version 11 of our software at http://11.smartbidnet.com. General contractors and their subcontractors alike will be seeing a greatly enhanced system complete with many unprecedented integrations. The latest improvements are meant to redefine how general contractors and sub contractors collaborate on projects and to incorporate more of the preconstruction processes general contractors depend on most.
SmartBidNet’s integration with Cloud Takeoff is now live and brings a Google Doc type, real-time editing interface to estimating takeoff. General contractors and sub contractors can open and edit project documents simultaneously, communicate directly on the open plans and ensure that all project participants are up-to-date. Basic web viewing of plan files via Cloud Takeoff is available to all of our SmartBidNet users, and those wishing to perform takeoff can try Cloud Takeoff for free before considering a subscription, which we expect many of our users to do.
“We’ve had some great feedback from users anxious to try out the Cloud Takeoff features and from those who’ve already tried out the Beta version. We’re confident that it will significantly improve the estimating process and bid invitation that depends on the takeoff and we’re excited to offer the option to our clients. They haven’t seen collaborative estimating takeoff like this before,” stated James Benham, President of JB Knowledge Technologies, Inc., the makers of SmartBidNet.
In addition to Cloud Takeoff, SmartBidNet has formed a partnership with Jobsite123, an online database of hundreds of thousands of subcontractors that serves as a prequalificiation and bid solicitation tool for general contractors and a powerful marketing tool for suppliers. SmartBidNet now syncs daily with Jobsite123’s database of hundreds of thousands of subcontractor profiles for our general contractor users to utilize throughout prequalification and bid invitation. These subs are available through SmartBidNet’s Public Registry.
In addition to going live with these two major partnerships, we’ve enhanced our application programming interface to allow for easier integration and syncing with our clients’ corporate websites and IT systems. We want our software to be a central piece and welcome enhancement to the information technology our clients already have in place.
Many more improvements have been made to reporting, communication and project management features throughout the system. A detailed description of the full Version 11 release and previous software releases can be found here. Clients interested in learning more about the latest features can find the schedule of upcoming training webinars on the SmartBidNet support site here.
